At times we may become overwhelmed by unexpected challenges in life that leave us feeling depressed, anxious, confused, and stuck. Our distress can cue us to pay attention, perhaps to heal some old wounds, and to mine our inner strengths and wisdom. Psychotherapy is highly personalized and helps us to manage our reactivity to stress and restore harmony. I draw from a variety of treatment perspectives and modalities, including psychodynamic, family systems, client-centered, humanistic/transpersonal, cognitive behavioral, 12 Step programs, psycho-spiritual and Mindfulness practices, and coaching psychology. I approach the therapeutic relationship from an open and collaborative stance. With courage, humor and grace, we co-create this process together. My commitment and privilege is to provide a safe, empathic environment in which I listen deeply, understand your worldview, and support you on your heroic journey towards wholeness and personal well-being.

I have worked with people from 18 to 95 for over 25 years, helping them navigate the vagaries and transitions inherent in the adult life cycle. I have expertise working with clients within a broad range of cultural diversity, backgrounds and concerns - from students, to clergy, artists, lawyers, homemakers, physicians, teachers, corporate executives, newscasters, retirees, nursing home residents, and others.
